Fossil Collective scored my #4 Album of 2013 with Tell Where I Lie, a beautiful collection of folk-pop songs swimming in the English duo's harmonies. Things have been fairly quiet with the band since the late 2013 release of an EP entitled The Water. But they've returned here in early 2016 with their first new music in over two years on another EP, Flux.
David Fendick and Jonny Hooker stick with their folk-pop sound on these four melodic tracks. Their signature harmonies run throughout the EP as you'd expect. "Final Call" is a sparse acoustic ballad while the other three tracks are of the mid-tempo variety. Check out the opening track "Disarm" as well as "Final Call" below for a taste of Flux. It's good to have new music from Fossil Collective, here's hoping their second full length is in the works.
Favorite tracks: "Float", "Disarm"
Flux was released as a digital download January 15th, 2016 via the Take Aim Fire label.
